ELC celebrates its 30th anniversary
The English Language Centre (ELC) recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1987 by Datin Valerie Mashman and Ms Beverly Cox, many students in Kuching have benefitted from its quality teaching the past 30 years.
From its humble beginning with two teachers and two classes, ELC now has a student population of over a thousand and over thirty staff.
To celebrate this milestone, students participated in a year-long project doing work associated with its 30-year history.
During the dinner, the principal Dr. Rosaline Eu announced that Mr. Robert Clement will be joining ELC as a Teacher Mentor as well teaching the IELTS class in 2018. Rob brings with him many years of working experience as an educational consultant from a diverse background, having worked in Canada, Brunei, the UAE, Oman and Malaysia.
Enrollment for 2018 classes is still on-going. For more information, please call 082-250950.
