ELC teachers prepare for 2019

Continuing Professional Development

A one-day Professional Development workshop led by Mr Christopher Frankland was held recently for teachers from the English Language Centre (ELC) on 27 December 2018.

The theme for the training workshop was 'Techniques for 21st Century Student-Centred Language Learning: Reappraising Teacher and Student Roles for Successful Outcomes'.

Teachers learnt ideas in co-operative learning and how student-centred learning techniques could be applied in the classrooms.

In addition, there were activities to make writing and grammar interactive and fun that go beyond the textbook.
